I started my first career as a Funeral Director and Licensed Embalmer. I lived in St Thomas US Virgin Islands for 3 years during the late 80’s. Although I loved St Thomas I did not love my job. I decided to enroll in Medical School since I had extensive background with the anatomy of the body. I moved back to Pennsylvania but before going into medical school I had an injury to my knee playing racquetball. I went to an orthopedic specialist and my MRI revealed an anterior cruciate ligament and medial meniscus tear of my right knee. I did not want surgery.  I went to my local Chiropractor and he recommended adjustments and rehab. I was able to rehab and strengthen my knee and I never needed the surgery. My knee is still healthy today. I knew then I wanted to be a Chiropractor and 3 months later I was enrolled in Life College School of Chiropractic in Marietta Georgia.
